1782 Land Office Treasury Warrant No. 13191

Henry esquire governor of the Commonwealth of virginia to all to whom these presents shall come greetings. Know ye that virtue
and in consideration of part of a Land Office Treasury Warrant Number: thirteen thousand,one hundred and ninety one, and issued
the third day of August, one thousand seven hundred and eighty two, there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto William
Lawson assignee of Israel Lorton assignee of Walter Crockett, who was assignee of James Clark, a certain tract or parcel of
land containing one hundred and forty five acres, by survey bearing date the twenty first day of November: one thousand seven
hundred and eighty two. Lying and being in the county of Montgomery, on Sugar Run Branch of Little River Waters of New River,
and bounded as followth to wit. Beginning at a double Black Oak and South hill side, and runneth North forty two degreesrast
one hundred and ten poles to a Hickory and Pine; North sixty seven degreesrast one hundred and eighty poles crossing a branch
to a Poplar, Linn and White Oak in a bottom, South thirty one degreesrast fifty four poles crossing a branch to two Red Oaks
and one White Oak. South thirty nine dregree West thirty two poles crossing a branch to a White Oak, Hictory and Walnut in
a flat. South forty eight degrees West one Hundred and thirty eight poles to two Black Oaks and White Oaks on a ridge. South
four degreesrast thirty eight poles to a Black Oak and White Oak and North twenty one degrees West one hundred and forty two
poles to the Beginning with its appurtenance. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances;
to the said. Patrick Henry esquire governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath here unto set his hand and caused the lessor
seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond, on the second day of December in the year of our lord, one thousand
seven hundred and eighty five, and the Commonwealth the tenth.

Transcription: Henry Lee Esquire, governor of the commonwealth
of Virginia, to all to whom these presents shall come, greetings, know ye, that by virtue of part of a Land Office Treasury
Warrant Number twenty thousand seven hundred and ten (No.20710). Issued the twelfth day of November one thousand seven hundred
and eighty three (Nov 12, 1783), there is granted by we said commonwealth unto William Lawson, a certain tract or parcel of
land containing two hundred acres by survey bearing date, the nineteenth day of July one thousand seven hundred and ninety
(July 19, 1790), lying and being in the County of Montgomery on Sugar Run Waters of Little River joining the land he lives
on, and bounded as followth, to wit. Beginning at two White Oaks and Locust on the point of a hill near Archibald Thompsons
line and running thence North twenty three degrees West eighty eight poles to a White Oak and pine on the top of a ridge,
thence North eighty six degrees West ninety six poles to a White Oak, south sixty degrees West sixty poles to two White Oaks
and Black Oak. south thirty seven degrees West one hundred and sixty two poles to a White Oak. North sixty three degrees East
three hundred and twenty six poles to the beginning. With it's appurtenances; To have and to hold the said tract or parcel
of land with its appurtenances, to the said William Lawson and his heirs forever. In witness where of the said Henry Lee Esquire,
governor of the commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereunto set his hand and caused the lesser seal of the said commonwealth to
be affixed at Richmond, on the fifteenth day of February in the year of our lord, one thousand seven hundred and ninety three
(Feb 15, 1793), and of the commonwealth the seventeenth.
